Alyssa’s College Senior Portraits: A Family Tradition

I’ve had the pleasure of capturing so many incredible moments as a Riverside high school and college senior photographer, and Alyssa’s college senior session was no exception. What made this session extra special was the fact that a few years ago, I had the honor of photographing her sister’s senior portraits as well! It’s always so rewarding when families return for more milestone moments, and Alyssa’s session was a beautiful continuation of that tradition.

With her floral dress, cap and gown, and a fun outfit featuring a black and white top with pink pants, Alyssa brought her unique style to every shot. Her family—mom, dad, and sister—joined in to celebrate her accomplishments, making this session even more memorable.

Family Portraits in a Floral Dress

Alyssa’s senior portrait session began with a sweet touch—family portraits in a scenic location. Wearing a gorgeous floral dress, Alyssa looked radiant, and the pops of color from her dress contrasted beautifully with the lush backdrop.

Her mom, dad, and sister joined her for a series of family photos that radiated warmth and love. As we posed them together, it was clear just how proud they were of Alyssa’s accomplishments. It was also fun to reminisce about her sister’s senior session from a few years ago—it’s amazing to see how much the family has evolved since then! These family portraits were a great way to start the session, capturing not only Alyssa’s personal milestones but the support of the people who have been with her every step of the way.

Classic Cap & Gown Portraits

Next up, Alyssa switched into her cap and gown for the classic senior portraits that mark the completion of her journey at Cal-State San Bernardino. Alyssa’s cap and gown photos radiated joy and excitement for what’s to come. We captured a range of cap and gown images, from traditional posed shots to playful images of Alyssa tossing her cap in the air with a big smile. She also wore a stole representing her academic achievements at Cal-State San Bernardino.

One of my favorite moments was when we recreated a few similar poses from her sister’s session, but with Alyssa’s unique twist. It was such a beautiful way to connect the two sessions while celebrating each sister’s individuality.

Fun and Playful in Pink Pants

Alyssa’s session wouldn’t have been complete without some fun and playful images that showed off her vibrant personality. For this part of the session, she changed into a stylish black and white top paired with bold pink pants. This outfit was perfect for adding a bit of flair to her portraits and highlighted her confident, fun-loving spirit.

We found some fun spots to match the energy of this look, capturing Alyssa laughing, dancing, and embracing the excitement of graduation. These lighthearted moments were a great way to wrap up the session and give Alyssa a set of photos that truly reflected who she is at this important milestone in her life.
