The Bristow family decided to take family pictures this year at their gorgeous home, which is an incredible space with so much to offer. The entire family came out to this shoot, even Grandma who hates being in front of a camera! We had a great time and it was fun to see everyone joking and laughing - what a great family. I think that having some yearly family photos can help us stay connected as we all go through life's changes.
Family portraits are a great way to get everyone together and capture the good times. They're also an easy way to remember your family's history and share it with future generations. We want you to be able to enjoy these photos for years to come, so we'll take care of everything from selecting a location that works with your schedule, all the way down to providing props, wardrobe guidance and digital touch-ups.
Grandma was the center of attention, even though she hates her picture being taken!
As you can see, Grandma was the center of attention, even though she hates her picture being taken! She is the one in the front right and has a big smile on her face. I think she looks like she's having more fun than anyone else!
Beautiful daughters
The Bristow girls are always so perfectly dressed for the occasion, and this session was no exception. They were all giggling like crazy (I don't know what was up with that!).
Pictures tie us together
Photos are such a great way to preserve memories. If you have children, grandchildren or even just friends and family that you want to remember, a photo session can be a lovely way to keep the images around for years to come.
A picture of your child with their family at different stages of life is sure to bring back happy memories when they're older. The same goes for photos of your grandparents celebrating holidays together or enjoying an afternoon at the beach--these moments may not last forever but they can be captured through photography!
Make family portraits an annual tradition.
Family portraits are important, and it's best to make sure you get a great photographer who can capture your family's personality. The pictures will last forever, so the time spent getting them right is time well spent. When choosing a photographer, look for someone who is fun, listens, and gives direction well. You want your photos to show off both your family’s personality and its strong bonds.
During the shoot, don't be afraid to be silly! It may sound counter-intuitive at first, but out of all of my sessions with clients over the years I have never had anyone tell me that they regret being silly during our session because it made their pictures more interesting than what they had originally planned for their session—and having fun during the session means that everyone will be relaxed when we take pictures together, resulting in better quality images overall!
There’s nothing like a family portrait to remind us of our love for each other. It brings us together, capturing the moment in time when we are all together and happy. I hope that you will take some time to create your own family portraits, because they are truly one of life’s most precious gifts! You can start the conversation with me below!
