Emma's Downtown Riverside Senior Portraits

I had the pleasure of meeting this incredible young woman in such an unexpected and fun way! I was photographing senior portraits at UCR when a woman approached me, asking for a business card. Thank goodness I had some with me! A few days later, she reached out to inquire about senior portraits for her daughter, who was graduating from King High School in Riverside. On top of that, she mentioned they also needed headshots and portfolio images because her daughter has her sights set on a modeling career. I was beyond thrilled!

We decided that Downtown Riverside, CA would be the perfect backdrop for her session. For her portfolio, she wanted some edgy shots to highlight her striking beauty and confidence in front of the camera. When my client has a vision of what they want, I do everything I can to make that happen. One of my favorite tools in to ask my clients to make a vision board on Pinterest that shows the vibe they are looking for, the types of outfits that they want to wear, and even how they want their make-up done. When I put all of those together you get senior portraits that are uniquely and authentically you.

Riverside has so much to offer for senior portraits, and Downtown Riverside is one of my favorite places to shoot! We took advantage of the beautiful architecture around the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, which has been standing since 1894 and remains one of the oldest hotels in Southern California. Another fantastic spot was The Fox Theater, with its stunning Spanish Revival design, perfect for capturing unique and sophisticated images. We also explored the murals, redbrick alleys, and other landmarks that Downtown Riverside is known for.

Although only 17 years old, this amazing young woman knows exactly what she wants—to break into the modeling industry. She was confident, poised, and absolutely photogenic throughout the shoot. Even in the midst of busy crowds, she remained professional and focused, proving that she has the attitude and talent needed to succeed as a model.

I am so excited to see where her modeling journey takes her, and I truly hope she achieves her dreams. She’s a natural in front of the camera and such a joy to work with. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a dedicated and professional model for their next photo shoot. I’m beyond grateful to have met her and can't wait to work with her again in the future!
