Madelyn’s Senior Portrait Session includes a Feathered Friend

MARTIN LUTHER KING HIGH SCHOOL | RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA

SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER

Capturing Madelyn’s senior portraits was a heartwarming experience for me. I’ve known Madelyn’s mother since our college days, and I’ve had the pleasure of watching Madelyn grow up—from a little girl performing with the Riverside Children's Theatre to a talented senior at King High School in Riverside. This session was not just about capturing her milestones but also about celebrating the unique and wonderful person Madelyn has become before she goes to college at the University of Redlands.

Striking a Chord: Saxophone Portraits

Madelyn’s passion for music is a huge part of who she is, so it was only fitting that we started her senior portraits with some shots featuring her saxophone. As a talented musician, Madelyn brought her sax along for the session, and we captured her standing tall and proud her instrument in a relaxed pose. The saxophone added a personal touch to her portraits, making them uniquely hers. It was wonderful to see how confident and happy she looked and I’m so glad we were able to capture these moments.

Feathered Friends: A Unique Senior Portrait Session

One of the most unique aspects of Madelyn’s session was her love for raising chickens. She even brought her favorite chicken to the shoot! This was such a fun and quirky addition to her senior portraits, and it perfectly showcased Madelyn’s love for animals and her unique personality.

We captured some adorable photos of Madelyn holding her chicken, laughing and enjoying the moment. These images are a true testament to how important it is to include personal elements in your senior portraits—things that reflect your passions, hobbies, and what makes you, you.

Country Girl Style: Flannel, Blue Jeans, and Boots

For a fun and casual look, Madelyn embraced her inner country girl. She wore a classic flannel shirt, blue jeans, and boots, creating a laid-back yet stylish outfit that perfectly matched her personality. We found some rustic spots around her house to match this look, capturing Madelyn’s playful and adventurous spirit.

These shots were full of energy and warmth, with Madelyn posing confidently and having a great time. The combination of the flannel, jeans, and boots added a touch of country charm to her session, making these images some of my favorites.

Cap & Gown: Celebrating a Milestone

Of course, no senior portrait session would be complete without the traditional cap and gown photos. Madelyn was beaming in her cap and gown, ready to graduate from King High School and start college at the University of Redlands. It was such an honor to be part of this moment, especially knowing her journey from childhood to this point.
