Covering the Walls with Love

Updated: Aug 26

First let me tell you that I love small businesses here in the Riverside and Inland Empire area. I'm the guy that mostly eats a small local restaurants, uses the local barber, and keeps it in the community. Many months ago I was in need of a pet sitter and out of the blue someone in my community posted that their daughter was offering pet sitting services. I knew immediately this was the person for me. Our new pet sitter quickly found out I was a photographer and told her Mom. Months later I was taking their family portraits - which was a first for all of them together. Now I must also tell you that a couple of years ago I moved into a brand new home and this family lives in the neighborhood too. The plague of a new home is bare walls and this is where I have solutions.

One of my favorite things to do is design wall galleries. I offer the galleries in canvas, metal, acrylic, framed, and photo standouts. Cate sent me a picture of the wall she wanted to decorate and I went to town designing something that would honor the space and show off the family. We decided that a classic canvas would best fit the design aesthetic of this space. This family portrait gallery is composed of two 20x24, two 16,20, two 18x12, and two 11x14. While that may seem large to some it really only takes a space smaller than a couch is wide - about 6.6 feet and is only 3.5 feet tall.

As a parent, I know first hand how fleeting childhood can be - one second they are in diapers and the next they are all grown. Family portraits let us pause that time for just a second so we can remember. Sometimes during family portraits siblings will get a little snappy but with this family it was all smiles and you could really feel the affinity everyone had for each other.

Now that you are ready to cover your walls in love there is no better time to schedule your family session!
